Tunnock's Sponsorship

Regular readers of our Monte Carlo blog all know well that the team entering the 2016 Monte have a strong Scottish connection.

In fact, the team is 80% Scottish! And, as a result, I needed to make sure I kept on the right side of the natives– so to speak!

I decided early on that the best way to do this was via chocolate, and one Scottish treat came straight to mind – Tunnock’s caramel wafers.

Tunnock’s have been making and producing food and associated goods since 1890. The famous caramel wafer made it’s first appearance in 1952. It has been delighting customers bite by bite ever since.

Initially I wrote to the team at Tunnock’s inquiring if I could purchase some products directly.

Anne Hunter from the customer services team called and advised that the business would be delighted to sponsor the BD team with a selection of Caramel Wafers – as you can imagine, I was very happy to accept free chocolate!

The team and I are hoping to call into the factory with the WD whilst en-route to the start at John O’Groats to say a big thank you in person to Anne and the team at Tunnock’s.
